Covid cases surge in Nakhon Si Thammarat

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: An urgent meeting of officials was called to assess the situation after the province logged 743 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday.

The number of new cases saw a sharp increase, up from 434 on Monday and 429 on Tuesday.

Provincial  governor Kraisorn Wisitwong  called and urgent meeting  with all four deputy governors, the provincial public health chief, the police chief, the education office chief and the mayor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality.

Mr Kraisorn said after the meeting that 80% of the new infections were caught from other family members or at rubberwood factories. He had instructed…
