The Department of Health at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has announced that 238 people working at the city’s riverside shopping mall Iconsiam have all tested negative for Covid-19.
Iconsiam says the happy outcome could be attributed to the stringent safety measures it has been taking and the cooperation between government agencies and private organisations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Nevertheless, the mall says it understands the ongoing concern of consumers and is continually striving to take every possible step to reassure them.
Therefore, it will be shut tomorrow while it stages what is calls a “Super Big Cleaning Day” in collaboration with its tenants.
The 24-hour cleaning blitz will include the sterilisation of all surfaces across the mall, in common areas and inside the stores.
