Cool and windy for upper and central regions, heavy rain in the South

A cool air mass is still covering the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea bringing chilly mornings for the north and northeast regions. The central and eastern regions will experience scattered rain and thunderstorms.

The northeastern monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the southern region remains moderately active but is likely to bring heavy rain to the South. Residents in these areas should be cautious of flash floods, especially in low-lying areas near flowing water and areas prone to landslides.

Waves of 1 to 2 metres in height will affect the upper Gulf of Thailand and could be higher in the lower part. The Andaman Sea will have waves of about 1 metre, or more in areas with thunderstorms. Small vessels are advised to navigate with caution.
