Plus and their partners are aiming to strengthen the local video game industry by launching the “SDGs Game Fest”, an online game design contest.
The project is said to be aligned with the United Nations’ International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development initiative, to achieve 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030 and raise public awareness.
Game concepts from over 100 teams were submitted from Nov 15 to Feb 15. Winning teams are expected to be announced in June.
The main winner will receive 15 million baht in funding to help turn their concept into a full-fledged online game that will be exhibited at the Thailand Game Show 2022.
