Chonburi governor and team repaints zebra crossings in Pattaya to prevent accidents during upcoming New Year holiday

Chonburi —

The governor of Chonburi kick-started a project to repaint zebra crossings in Chonburi in an effort to prevent road accidents during the upcoming New Year holiday.

Tawatchai Srithong, Governor of Chonburi, presided over an opening of the project yesterday, December 26th, at Central Pattaya Beach. He said to all participants that the repainting of the zebra crossings was a necessary precaution to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially during the busy New Year holiday next weekend.

The governor stated the zebra crossings would be repainted in bright, reflective colors to make them more visible to drivers, who are urged to slow down and watch for pedestrians when approaching a zebra crossing. The goal of this mission was to minimize road accidents under the campaign “New driving lifestyles, Safe and accident-free.”

Moreover, the Chonburi governor launched a campaign for citizens to “leave their house with police.” Those who will be holidaying outside Chonburi can entrust their house to the police’s care to prevent burglaries, as the governor wanted everyone to fully enjoy the once-in-a-year holiday without any concerns and worries, according to his statement.
