Chinese mixed pair set sights on fourth world title

Mixed doubles stars Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong of China will vie for their fourth world title in Copenhagen, Denmark, today.

The top seeds beat fellow Chinese Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin 21-18, 21-16 in yesterday’s semi-finals of the BWF World Championships at Royal Arena.

They will take on fifth seeds Seo Seung-Jae and Chae Yu-Jung of South Korea who knocked out Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino of Japan 21-15, 21-13.

The Koreans had earlier defeated Thai pairs Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai and Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran in the quarter-finals and the last 16 respectively.
