Checklists for marriage registration AND visa extension by marriage (US-wife, Thai-husband) and questions

My partner and I will have to go through both of these processes in succession in about a month. There are few threads about this topic on the subreddit already but the information are somewhat scattered and not organized. I would appreciate it if anyone who has been through these processes could comment on my checklists and add what I am missing. Or let me know if you have useful tidbits that I should know in order not to waste time.

I did not list all the required documents but focused mostly on the important ones that require a lot of time to obtain.

Thank you very much.

# Marriage registration

* Schedule an appointment with the US embassy in Thailand to obtain

1. Notorized sworn affidavit of single status
2. Certified copy of the passport

* Visit the US embassy to get the documents
* Translate the affidavit (preferably near the Ministry)
* Validate the affidavit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
* Hand in the documents at Bangrak District to schedule an appointment for marriage registration
* Revisit Bangrak District for the actual registration with two witness (must be Thai relatives) and a translator (cannot be the marrying pairs)

# Visa extension by marriage

* Obtain Kor Ror 2 from the Bangrak District to show the marriage is still in effect. May get a house visit?
* Convert to a Non-O from inside Thailand. (Or apply for a Non-O visa from a neighboring country?) Submit Kor Ror 2 here.
* (Do not leave the country after this point. Until you get a marriage visa)
* Wait for one month
* Schedule an appointment for visa extension stay based on marriage
* Wait for another month, until there is only 30 days left on Non-O
* Visit Government Complex Ratthaprasasana Phakdi Building Chaeng Wattana in person to apply for the visa extension stay based on marriage. Submit the all the documents here. May get a house visit?
