Cheap eats in Phuket

My husband and I are going to Phuket in January. We are staying at the Marriott Vacation Club, and as of now we don’t plan on renting a car, but that could change. (You can advise on that too) We would like some insights on cheap local places to eat. We don’t mind street vendors. I don’t want to google it, because I believe that sometimes restaurants pay people to write good reviews. I trust you guys more.
