Celebrate 14 years of Overstay at underground bohemian hangout

What a long, weird trip it has been for underground arts venue The Overstay. On Sept. 24, it’s celebrating its 14th birthday with 10 bands and DJs.

The Overstay will turn 14 with a night of reggae-heavy entertainment as well as a marketplace where anyone can sell their wares for free.

The party kicks off after 6pm with 10 bands including melodic punk act Stay Awake, No Fate’s grunge jams, and some rock ‘n roll by Templeboxers. Phai, aka Tony Love, will snap into action with an improvised snare drum performance. Each act will play a 40-minute set.

Presiding over the deck will be DJ Rory Breaker-Morant, who will add some hip-hop and rock stylings to the reggae vibes. 

Those interested in selling their art or handmade goods are encouraged to contact the venue for a free stall.
