Can Zerbi’s Seagulls prevent a Manchester sweep?

While many are predicting an all-Manchester FA Cup Final on June 3, both Sheffield United and Brighton will be doing their utmost in this weekend’s semi-finals at Wembley to ensure that does not happen.

Despite being second in the Championship, the Blades’ chances against City today look decidedly slim especially when you consider Pep Guardiola’s side demolished second-tier leaders Burnley 6-0 in the quarter-finals.

City have also looked ominously imperious in recent Premier League games.

While Sheffield are more concerned with earning automatic promotion to the Premier League rather than any fleeting Cup glory, they are eight points clear of Luton in the Championship and look almost certain to accompany Burnley back to the top flight.

The second semi-final looks like it could be more competitive.
