Can foreigners get loan to buy car in Thailand?

I’m married to a Thai and I’m currently on Non-O visa based on marriage. We are feeling the need to have our own car. Can anybody tell me if it’s easy to buy a new car on loan from the dealership as a foreigner? I’ve only been in Thailand for 3 months on marriage visa and I don’t work in Thailand, neither do my wife currently. I have passive income from my business in my home country and I don’t currently pay taxes in Thailand (will probably have to pay taxes next year, but I’m not sure about that right now). Although I do have a Thai bank account, but that’s only used to receive my monthly living expenses from my bank account in my home country. I hear that if you don’t have a work permit, foreigners aren’t eligible for loans. Is that true? Can foreigners get loans based on passive income from their home country?
