Buriram aim to get off to fast start in Korat

Buriram United begin the defence of their Thai League 1 title at Nakhon Ratchasima today.

The Thunder Castle will want to get off to a fast start to regain confidence after losing to BG Pathum United in the Thailand Champions Cup last week.

Masatada Ishii’s men will take on the Swat Cats at the 80th Birthday Stadium where they lost 3-2 to Pathum in the curtain-raising match.

Despite the loss, Ishii remains upbeat and aims for his team to repeat the feat of last season when they won all three major trophies.

“We will go for the titles — it’s my job,” said the Japanese.
