British boy’s father confronts suspect in Thailand

The father of a British teenager found dead in a forest in Thailand told his son’s alleged killer to “look him in the eye” during an angry crime scene confrontation.

Steven Graham, 60, called the suspect a “coward” as they stood close to the wooded area where Woramet Ben Taota’s bloodied body was discovered on Sunday morning.

The British businessman flew to Lampang, in northern Thailand, from his home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, after being informed about the suspected murder of his 16-year-old son. Local police have claimed that Chaiwat Boonkarin confessed to killing the victim, known as Ben, after losing his temper during a dispute about the supply of drugs.
