The body of the Burmese man who was swept out to sea in Koh Samui on Monday has been found, according to a Thai media outlet.

The outlet, One News 31, said today in an Instagram post that the man’s body was found at a beach in front of a hotel. The post reads…

“ The body of the Myanmar man who defied the warning not to sit on a rock cliff at a viewpoint in Koh Samui was found. He was swept away by the waves two days ago. Recently, his body was found on a hotel beach, two kilometres away from where he fell.”

According to witnesses, the man was a migrant worker travelling with two other male friends, and the three appeared to be drunk.

The three men walked to a viewpoint near the sea. This was after authorities had warned people not to go near the sea due to strong winds and large waves.
