Vasit Taepaisitphongse, Chief Executive Officer and President of Betagro Public Company Limited, revealed that operating results for the year 2022 had a total revenue of 113,877 million baht, an increase of 31.3% compared to the previous year at 86,744. million baht and had a net profit of 7,938 million baht, an increase of 685.5% from the previous year, representing a net profit margin of 7.0%, which continued to increase from 1.2% in 2021. During the 4th quarter of 2022 (October – December), the company had Total revenue was 30,052 million baht, an increase of 25.5% from the same period last year. and boosted net profit to 1,796 million baht, representing a net profit margin of 6.0%, up from 3.8% in the same period last year.

The success of 2022 comes from strong and outstanding growth in sales of goods and services in all 4 main business groups as follows:

  • Agribusiness Increased revenue from rising product prices
  • Food and Protein Business Group Earnings increased from higher sales volumes and higher product prices. Especially pork, chicken, eggs, processed food and processed meat products. both domestic and export markets
  • international business group grow from the increase in the selling price of animal feed including the selling price of live animals Both in Cambodia and Laos, which has continued to expand.
  • pet business group It is a business that has grown in both sales volume and selling price of pet food that has increased. This is in line with the increase in production volume. and an increase in the proportion of revenue from selling products with higher selling prices.

The net profit and net profit margin of the Company in 2022 increased as a result of the increase in revenue and gross profit margin. Including more efficient cost control by benefiting from the economy of scale following the increase in sales volume. In this regard, the company’s gross profit in 2022 was at 21,731 million baht. increased by 94.7% from 11,164 million baht in 2021. The company’s gross profit margin was 19.3% in 2022, an increase from 13.1% in 2021, driven by price adjustments in food and protein products, including pork products.
