Beats, bites, booze greet Bangkok chef trio’s new cafe ‘Verde’

A new cafe dedicated to Mediterranean and Nordic cuisines will open with a party this weekend featuring live music, bar bites, natural wines, cocktails, and art. 

Soi Sukhumvit 26 has a new eatery on the map. Dubbed Verde, it will serve homemade and “health-conscious” dishes alongside exhibitions of art.

The kitchen is led by chefs who are no stranger to Bangkok dining: Stuart Nombluez, formerly of vegan fusion joint Vistro and two others formerly of Roast and Mozza by Cocotte. They’re aiming for simple yet nourishing food, making as many things in-house as possible, including their own sauces, flatbread, sorbets, and gelatos.
