Famous night market Jodd Fairs in the Rama 9 area of Bangkok will be relocating to Ratchada at the end of the year. The new night market is expected to open in January 2024.
In November 2021, the famous Talat Rot Fai Ratchada (Train Night Market Ratchada) which permanently closed during the Covid-19 pandemic made a comeback under the rebranded Jodd Fairs market adjacent to Central Rama 9.
The operator of Jodd Fairs night bazaar, Pairoj Roykaew, will manage the retail section of a new mixed-use project on 13 rai of land on Ratchadapisek Road between the Thai Life Insurance building and Big C Extra.
Pairoj said his current lease contract with Central will expire in December 2023, and all 700-800 stalls from the Rama 9 site will be relocated to the new site in January next year.
