Bangkok speakeasy S’Amuser reopens near Wongwian Yai

Shut just after it opened earlier this year, a stylish speakeasy has reopened again to serve Bangkok’s west side.

With lockdown measures relaxed yesterday and Bangkok’s restaurants allowed to welcome diners again, a hidden venue on the Thonburi side named S’Amuser – French for amuse – has unlocked its dainty orange entrance to serve food and drinks for people in a semi-private dining setting.

Owned by Chanisara “Belle” Buranabungvong, S’Amuser is a gender-inclusive tailor shop by day and hidden hangout by night. The small bar-slash-restaurant offers private seating and only accepts three tables per day via advance booking. More seatings including some on the rooftop are expected in the future.
