Bangkok Post – Huawei drives Thailand’s AI revolution, aims to lead

The Chinese tech giant, Huawei, equipped with advanced AI applications and local language support, is actively driving Thailand’s transition into the AI era. Its goal is to establish Thailand as the AI hub of ASEAN. This initiative aligns with the Thai government’s vision to become an AI hub by 2027.

David Li, CEO of Huawei Thailand, emphasised that AI represents a significant breakthrough and was developed with the aim of generating content. Huawei believes that AI has evolved beyond consumer applications; it will also accelerate the development of core industry and business applications. Mr. Li made these remarks during the recent Huawei Cloud AI Summit Thailand 2023.

“In the next two years, we believe that 50% of core industries will leverage AI, unlocking trillions of dollars in new value,” stated Mr. Li.
