Bangkok museum unveils pink ice skating rink

A privately owned museum in Bangkok’s north this weekend unveiled a new art installation complete with an ice skating rink.

The public can hit the ice at MOCA’s new lighting installation Kisses, in which an LED neon sign of a couple kissing hangs above 27 meters of ice in a pink-hued room.

The installation – designed by Elle Magazine fashion editor Pannatorn “Aey” Boonmahitisud and MOCA director Kit Bencharongkul – is meant to attract couples in the run-up to Valentine’s during this month of love. 

Admission to the art installation is free but skating fee costs THB150 per person for 30 minutes. Due to the pandemic, only 10 people are allowed per round, and everyone is  required to wear face masks at all times.

MOCA is located on Kampangpetch 6 Road in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district. The venue is open 10am to 6pm daily, except Monday. The privately…
