Asking the grim questions: What happens to those who retire here who can no longer get health insurance because of age?

I read the max cutoff for health insurance is 70s or 60s. And a lot of retirees here don’t have a home in the USA/EU, are priced out of renting, and don’t have much of an income.

It feels like the Philippines might be a better option because assisted living is cheaper, less visa hassle, and no 90 day reporting. This also begs the questions how do those who are too old handle visa renewal?

But I’m no where close to retirement age so I don’t know the full story. Feel free to call me an idiot and correct me in the comments.

If you’re over 50, please tell us how you plan to handle age 70 and beyond.
