Anyone has experience reporting a crime at a Bangkok police station?

Update: Thief was caught. Went to the right police station in the district and they immediately showed me a CCTV screenshot of the thief because she’s a known offender. She was apparently caught on camera stealing again today. A bunch of police officers then left on motorbikes and 1.5 hours later they caught her and also one of her associates and bought them back to the police station. We are now waiting to see what will happen next…

Had my stuff stolen yesterday at a mall and the security asked me to report the crime to the police after they checked the CCTV and realized the woman that was the thief is a known offender there. I don’t think I would get my money back but want to know what the process is like and how long it would take?

Also it feels like crime and scam in Bangkok is way up 🙁
