Announcing a new option for posts: [Serious] Flair

**What is it?**

With this option, someone posting to r/Thailand has the option to flair their post as a serious discussion. In threads that are flaired as serious, the moderators will make an extra effort to remove any joke answers or off-topic comments. Users are strongly encouraged to:

1. Not post anything off-topic or any jokes/memes.
2. Downvote any comments violating those guidelines.
3. And report those comments as well.

**How do I start one?**

Select the “Serious” flair when making a post, this will flag the post for automod to watch more carefully and let us distinguish any comments that are reported. You can flair a post as serious either before or after posting.

**What defines “joke answers” and “off-topic answers”?**

The moderators do. This will require a large amount of discretion and flexibility, and removing comments is always subjective. That is why this is being offered as an optional feature and not as a rule change.

**What about posts that aren’t tagged?**

Every other post in the subreddit will remain completely unchanged. You are free to post as normal in non-serious posts following the normal rules.

This feature will not change the subreddit’s rules at all; it will just add an additional option for users looking for actual answers instead of the same jokes and memes that get posted often.
