This evening a fisherman agressively came up to me on the beach and tried to persaude me to take a fishing trip with him in the morning. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and the nsuddely started shadow boxing and doing press ups on his small rowing boat in between his broken English sales pitch. I then continued on my evening walk, but he wouldn’t leave me alone for about 6-7 minutes until he finally gave up. How common are ‘fisherman’ touts on the beach in Koh Lanta or other islands in Thailand?
