A Hoi! Thonglor’s ‘Chinese izakaya’ serving ‘drunken’ chicken, and more

Sandwiched between Thonglor live music venue Studio Lam and Homeburg, Hoi – Chinese Izakaya can be accessed via a sort of hidden entrance in the alleyway. Once you find it, make your way upstairs to an industrial-style loft that takes on an izakaya vibe, decked out with black tables, gray splattered walls, and views of the street below.

Don’t expect giant portions here. The food is meant to be shared among small groups – almost tapas-like. Starters include fried golden needle mushrooms (THB98), Sichuan-style hot and sour soup (THB138), and the popular moutai “drunken” chicken (THB168) cooked in herbaceous broth.
