A friend had the idea to put her (adult) son’s name in our house book, i.e. register him as resident there. Is there any possible issue with that?

Title. She wants to register her son as resident in Chiang Mai to make things easier, as he’s registered in (I think) Trat but lives in a rental apartment in CM. She is a trusted friend, but we know how far trust goes in Thailand, so I want to know if there are any conceivable issues with having someone registered in one’s house book who neither actually lives there nor is part of the family.
