After months of grumbling that Thailand’s gamers were being dissed by Sony, the Japanese console-maker announced its PlayStation 5 will arrive early next month.
Sony Thai said today that pre-orders for two flavors of its next-gen gaming console will begin Jan. 22, with units expected to hit shelves Feb. 5.
As usual, Thai gamers will pay a premium over their counterparts elsewhere. A digital-only PS5 will retail for THB13,990 (US$464), while the version decked out with an Ultra HD Blu-ray player will cost THB16,990 (US$564).
The console is powered by 8 core processors clocked out at 3.5GHz, with a GPU that can render graphics at full 4K resolution.
