3 members of wildlife trade gang caught, 3 baby leopard cats rescued

Three members of a wildlife trade gang have been arrested and three baby leopard cats rescued with pelts of tigers and other items worth about 2 million baht seized at a resort in Kanchanaburi province.

Police from the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division and officials from the Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation jointly arrested the three suspects – two Thai men and a Mon tribal man – in Sangkhla Buri district on Tuesday, said Pol Lt Gen Panya Pinsuk, a police commander at the Royal Thai Police Office.
