24,792 new Covid cases, 63 more deaths

The country registered 63 more Covid-19 fatalities and 24,792 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Friday morning.

This compared with the 74 coronavirus-related fatalities and 22,984 new cases reported on Thursday morning.

There were 24,712 local cases and 80 imported ones.

On Thursday, 22,065 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 222,998 others were at hospitals (up from 220,334 on the previous day).

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 3,136,649 Covid-19 cases, including 913,214 this year, with 2,890,076 complete recoveries to date.
