163kg ganja found left by roadside

SAMUT PRAKAN: A total of 163 kilogrammes of compressed marijuana were found in garbage bags on the roadside in Bang Phli district on Sunday and Monday.

Pol Col Mongkol Onkaew, the Bang Kaew police chief, said that on Sunday highway police were informed by local residents that they found 14 garbage bags left by Thepparat road under the bridge across Bang Khwang canal in tambon Bang Chalong.

Police went to the spotand confiscated the bags and the 143 slabs of dried marijuana they contained, each about 1kg.
