WTF to mark Myanmar’s coup-versary with two days of exile art

Burmese artists from around the world will showcase artwork, photographs and digital installations at a two-day event starting Tuesday at art-bar WTF Bangkok.

The In-Exile exhibition opens on the first anniversary of Myanmar’s coup d’etat and will include music and Burmese food to scarf down. It is curated by Hnin Win and Free Burma, in collaboration with Myanmar Media Support.

For the safety of those involved, photography and video recordings will be prohibited.

In order to comply with COVID health measures, capacity will be limited, and visitors will be required to pass provided ATK tests prior to entry. To RSVP, head over here.

Last year on Feb. 1, the democratically elected members of Myanmar’s ruling National League for Democracy party were driven from power by the military.
