The Thai women’s ended their third week of the 2021 Volleyball Nations League with a 3-0 loss to the Dominican Republic in Rimini, Italy, yesterday.
With 18 points from Yonkaira Pena, the Dominicans beat the Thais 25-16, 25-17, 25-23.
Pleumjit Thinkaow was Thailand’s top scorer with 12 points and Onuma Sittirak made seven.
Thailand remain winless, having suffered nine successive defeats in the 16-team tournament.
Thailand’s Karina Krause said: “Everybody in our team did a great job. We all tried to do our best, but unfortunately it was not enough against the Dominican Republic because they are a very tall team and we were not able to pass their blocks.
