It has been over a century since the panther’s debut by Cartier at a jewellery exhibition with its unmistakable pattern in onyx and diamonds on a ladies’ wristwatch in 1914.
Three years later, the first figurative reproduction of a panther in platinum, onyx and diamonds adorned a cigarette case.
