I don’t want to be the party pooper, I really enjoyed Songkran in Chiang Mai yesterday, and I thanks everyone for that.
But we got 2 times sprayed by water directly in the face, not the random spray who arrive in your face (that’s ok), but from people who prepare themselves to aim you on the face. And 2 times by foreigners.
I didn’t wanted to get angry and just walked away to enjoy, but when I saw them again, they did it again to other people so yes it wasn’t a mistake.
I even saw other tourist spraying delivery guy on motorbikes while everyone tries to avoid them.1
I feel those situations very disrespectful, or am I just overreacting?
Not blaming everyone of course, I’m a tourist myself.
But happy Songkran anyway!
