Why do people say jet skis are scams

I’m in bangtao and hired a jetski today. 1500 bhat for 30 minutes. Seemed pretty reasonable I feel like. I know everyone seems to be on a massive budget on this sub and anything above 150 bhat for anything is blasphemy but 1500 bhat in my native country is like 60 bucks. Nothing crazy , and pretty reasonable for the activity. I would probably have to pay $200 in Aus.

Also I just drove it back and hopped off and that was it. They didn’t scam me or check the machines. I think y’all are too paranoid sometimes
