Which is the best elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai? And what is the exact location?

Me and my girlfriend would like to go see some elephants tomorrow. Where is the best place to do this within 1hr or so of Chiang Mai?

And what are the exact locations? I’ve noticed that most locations on Google maps just shows some office in the centre of Chiang Mai.. but we have a scooter and we’d rather not pay for a package with transfers when we already have our own means of transport.
