Where to stay!?

Hello everyone! Happy weekend!

My girlfriend and I are going to phuket at the end of the month for a few days. We are in our 30s and looking for a chilled holiday while also taking in the sights and being relatively close to bars and restaurants.

We are looking at karon or kata beach areas. Would anyone have any recommendations between the two or even any other recommended areas to stay. If anyone has any particular hotel recommendations that would also be great. Thanks in advance.
