Where to find/buy high quality art?

Hello! My husband and I are traveling to Phuket for a few weeks in December, and I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to find handmade art to buy?

I know the night markets will be full of cheap trinket type souvenirs, but in the past I’ve really enjoyed finding artists’ workshops that make higher quality, handmade art or traditional crafts. For example, we went to a wood carving studio in Indonesia, and brought home a carved and painted barong mask.

I’ve seen pottery, lacquer, painted tile, embroidery, and metalworking/jewelry studios in other countries, and am hoping to find something similar in Phuket. I found a few painting studios, but am hoping for some other types of art as well.
