I’ve noticed a lot of post’s asking advice similar getting taken down so I want to ask in different terms. I just got back to Thailand after 5 years away. I’m from the US and I’ve noticed a lot of foreigners are kinda standoffish here in Chiang mai which is the complete opposite of my experience in Koh Tao years ago.
I want to make friends but it’s not easy here. I’ll take recommendations for anywhere in Thailand except BKK I really don’t want to be somewhere so busy. I like koh Tao and koh Phangan, just not a whole lot to do in koh tao.
I’m open to opinions of the best city/island in Thailand to live for good prices, ease of making connections as a POC
