LONDON: Negotiations between the UK and European Union over a post-Brexit trade deal are reaching a tense climax, with Sunday looming as the do-or-die deadline.

British negotiators have indicated that the prospect of the talks continuing past Sunday is remote. Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday warned business and the public to prepare to leave the EU single market without a trade deal as negotiations with the bloc falter.
