Long term UK Expat based in Bangkok and considering moving my family (Thai wife, 2 children aged 4 and 2) to Phuket next year due to the fact I can now work remotely. Also considering a move to Gibraltar but thats another story.
We plan to come over next month and do a research mission. To optimize this would love some local information from Phuket expats.
Here are some questions feel free to answer where any of you can!
Looking to visit some schools on this trip. Want the children to do English language GCSE’s or I.B fairly open. Having the brand new facilities is not the be all and end all for us. Just want good teachers, low turnover of teachers or students (is possible) ……

After doing various online research …Current shortlist is:-
1) BSIP – Who has children there? and do you think it’s twice as good (to warrant twice the cost) as the other international schools on the Island?
2) UWC – Same question “Who has children there? and do you think it’s twice as good (to warrant twice the cost) as the other international schools on the Island?”
These 2 schools would max our expenses budget out but would consider if it makes such a big difference.

Realistic affordable options:-
3) BCIS (English) Anyone had any experiences and would you recommend/not recommend and why?
4) Kajonkiet International School – Anyone had any experiences and would you recommend/not recommend and why?
5) Headstart – Anyone had any experiences and would you recommend/not recommend and why?

6) Oak Meadow – Anyone had any experiences and would you recommend/not recommend and why?
7) Lighthouse international looks interesting. Good value or a value trap?

Obviously we plan to visit schools but eager to get information from parents with experiences. We would choose the school first then plan living easily commutable to the school……
