WESTERN Highlands Province is leading in the country with more people getting training on how to start and manage small to meduim enterprises (SME).
Small to Meduim Enterprises Corporation managing director Petrus Ralda said this during a SME graduation ceremony in Mt Hagen last Thursday.
“Western Highlands Province is first in the country to have many people being trained to start up and manage SMEs follow by other provinces,” Mr Ralda said.
“The training is provided by the PNG SME Corporation and is aimed to empower the people with knowledge to start and manage small businesses.”
Mr Ralda said the training is provided throughout the country to interested individuals who are interested in doing business.
He said WHP is leading where 13 trainings were held first half of this year with more than 4000 graduants.
