Weather forecast for Richmond Folk Fest: Rain on Saturday

With over 30 performers on six stages, there is a lot to listen to and love at the Richmond Folk Festival. Here are just a few performers to catch:

Cyril Neville: A Neville brother is headed to Richmond! Cyril Neville got his start as the youngest of the four Neville Brothers and went on to form The Meters. He’ll be bringing his New Orleans funk to town, playing with his son Omari Neville and Omari’s band, the Fuel.

Richmond’s salsa band Bio Ritmo – “Saturday night at the Dance Tent is always special. It will be even more so this year with Bio Ritmo taking the stage to the home team crowd,” Venture Richmond’s Stephen Lecky said.

Baba Commandant and the Mandingo band– Get ready for a high energy, danceable, funky and fun set from a West African group that rarely tours the states. They had a preview show a few months back at the Get…
