The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau has warned young Thais not to produce sexual content and share it via online platforms for commercial purposes as it is illegal.
The statement was released yesterday after police arrested a young couple, Suthanya “Kainao” Nakornjinda, 19 and Korakot Sarirat, 20, who shared their sexual exploits via the OnlyFans website, a content-sharing platform based in London.
Pol Lt Gen Kornchai Klayklueng, commissioner of Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, said the couple were arrested at a hotel in Samut Prakan’s Bang Phli district late on Monday night.
They admitted to producing pornographic content and uploading such m aterial onto a computer network since June.
The young couple said they had earned about 500,000 baht from producing the content.
