For the first time, Switzerland is represented with a consulate in the greater Pattaya region, which is why the correct title is “Consulate General for Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi and Trat.” And Esther Kaufmann is the first Swiss Consul to officially represent her country here.
At a festive fellowship evening at the Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International at the Centara Mirage Hotel, Esther Kaufmann was welcomed as guest of honor, and the club’s founder and president, Jana Suwannasri, found warm words in her speech:
“Esther, you have always been the helping angel for many Swiss people in our region, but now you are the official delegate of Switzerland and can achieve even more for the Swiss people here.
We are honored that you are with us today and we wish you much success and strength for your important work in our region, which so many Swiss citizens need here.”
