Want to buy a house in Thailand someday. How to protect myself?

It's my dream to own a house. In the US I own a townhouse, but the dream is a place with a yard and no shared walls and enough space to comfortably host a party for more than just 3 or 4 guests. My wife is Thai. We've considered buying a house in Thailand or buying land and having a house built. I know farang cannot own land, and I could only own it through my wife. Is there a way to do it to cover my ass so if she ever got tired of me I wouldn't lose everything? Things are good with us and we've been married for several years, but you never know about 10 or 20 years down the road. If we put $250k into property there, I want to structure it so there's no chance I could someday be left with zero of it. Is that possible to do?
