According to reports, the 44
th Chess Olympiad will be held next month in Mahabalipuram, and it is said to have a grand opening and director Vignesh Shivan is slated to direct the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will be held at Nehru stadium and reportedly two leading music composers have been arranged to perform.
The Chess Olympiad is set to take place on dates between July 28 and August 10.
