Veg Alert! Thonglor spot to host 2-day ‘Sadya’ brunch

As plant-based fine-dining options become more available in Bangkok – such as Haoma and Mia – there is an upcoming event herbivore foodies should look forward to next week. 

Thonglor’s Indian diner Here next week will welcome Indian chef Marina Balakrishnan, who fly from the coastside city of Kerala to whip up a 27-part Sadya, a traditional vegetarian platter usually served on a banana leaf. 

Expect dishes like kootu curry, olan (ash gourd curry), avial (coconut-based vegetable curry), pickles and Matta rice (Kerala red rice), and a dessert called Sakkara Varattiyathu (plantains coated in jaggery). As per tradition, they all are refillable.

The brunches will take place only two days only: 11am on April 30 and 11am on May 1. The brunch will be accompanied by jazz performances by Sweet Records.

Each meal is THB1,600 per person and lasts two hours….
