U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hosts Prime Minister Prayut, Demonstrates Strong Ties with Thailand

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friday, May 13, 2022, in connection with the special ASEAN Summit held in Washington, DC, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, together with the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council and the National Center for APEC, hosted Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of Thailand for a discussion with key U.S. business leaders on Thailand’s post-COVID economic recovery and opportunities arising for business.    

The event covered several important issues, including new energy and sustainability initiatives, the return of travelers to the region, new digital economy developments; and, more generally the importance of strengthening trade ties during Thailand’s year hosting meetings under Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation auspices to drive a robust, forward-looking trade and investment policy agenda.
