Two weeks for islands (recommendations)

Hey fellow travelers! I’ve got an exciting adventure coming up, and I’m looking for some advice on which islands to visit in Thailand. I’ll be spending two weeks in the north, and then it’s off to the south! I’m debating whether to fly from Chiang Mai or Rai to Krabi and use it as a hub to hop around various islands. Oh, and before I forget, I’ll be traveling in late June to July, so I know I’ll get rained on no matter where I go. Raincoat and a sense of humor are ready! :)

Alright, here’s my initial plan, but I’m open to suggestions because decision-making is harder than convincing myself to hit the gym:

Krabi: 3 days
Koh Samui: 3 days
Koh Phangan: 3 days
Koh Tao: 5 days, then off to Bangkok, I need to fly to Kron Siem Rep

Feel free to throw some wisdom my way if you think I should adjust the number of days for each island. By the way, I’m a solo traveler in my 40s, so I’m ready for a mix of chill and fun times. I’m an active soul, up for hiking, kayaking, exploring temples/ruins, and I’ve even got dreams of becoming a certified scuba diver. Underwater adventures, here I come!

Now, here’s where I need your help, my fellow wanderers: Any tips on the best way to hop between these beautiful islands? I don’t mind spending a bit extra to fly because life’s too short for long ferry rides (unless there’s a mermaid onboard, of course). And hey, if you’re planning to be in the same area around that time, I’m totally game to meet up and create some epic travel memories together!

So, share your thoughts, advice, and hilarious travel stories. I’m also eager to hear about must-visit attractions and cozy places to stay. Let’s make this trip one for the books!”
